The best way to care for the handmade clothes is to wash them in cold water and dry on a line. It is the best for the planet too. We have prewashed all fabrics before cutting out pieces. This helps to avoid the clothes to shrink after first wash.

we use wide elastic for the comfort. This elastic can be changed if needed as we leave a neat hole along the inside seam. This is the place where we insert elastic. Easy to pull out and take in to make smaller or to add a bit extra to it if needed. There is plenty of width for the child growth spurt that is so important when choosing clothes for the child.
